529fd913db move keystores handle from the zone to the view
The list of keystores is owned by the single server object
(named_g_server), but dns_zone_t has a pointer into it in order to
preserve encapsulation (lib/dns won't link to bin/named for good
reasons).

However, getting the keystores from the zone uses the zone lock whereas
this is not needed (as the pointer value doesn't depends on the zone,
and is initialized only with the same named_g_server->keystores value);
also storing an extra pointer per zone is not needed; also, there was a
logic based on the zone->secure property which was not needed (as there
is only one keystore).

The keystores pointer is now accessible and lock-free at view level,
it also simplifies a bit the various zone configuration APIs (server.c,
zoneconf.c).

ae6a34cbda Decouple database and node lifetimes by adding node-specific vtables
All databases in the codebase follow the same structure: a database is
an associative container from DNS names to nodes, and each node is an
associative container from RR types to RR data.

Each database implementation (qpzone, qpcache, sdlz, builtin, dyndb) has
its own corresponding node type (qpznode, qpcnode, etc). However, some
code needs to work with nodes generically regardless of their specific
type - for example, to acquire locks, manage references, or
register/unregister slabs from the heap.

Currently, these generic node operations are implemented as methods in
the database vtable, which creates problematic coupling between database
and node lifetimes. If a node outlives its parent database, the node
destructor will destroy all RR data, and each RR data destructor will
try to unregister from heaps by calling a virtual function from the
database vtable. Since the database was already freed, this causes a
crash.

This commit breaks the coupling by standardizing the layout of all
database nodes, adding a dedicated vtable for node operations, and
moving node-specific methods from the database vtable to the node
vtable.

d586c29069 Remove zone keyopts field
The "keyopts" field of the dns_zone object was added to support
"auto-dnssec"; at that time the "options" field already had most of
its 32 bits in use by other flags, so it made sense to add a new
field.

Since then, "options" has been widened to 64 bits, and "auto-dnssec"
has been obsoleted and removed. Most of the DNS_ZONEKEY flags are no
longer needed. The one that still seems useful (_FULLSIGN) has been
moved into DNS_ZONEOPT and the rest have been removed, along with
"keyopts" and its setter/getter functions.

b8f325ae01 Add support for zone templates
A "template" statement can contain the same configuration clauses
as a "zone" statement. A "zone" statement can now reference a
template, and all the clauses in that template will be used as
default values for the zone. For example:

    template primary {
        type primary;
        file "$name.db";
        initial-file "primary.db";
    };

    zone example.com {
        template primary;
        file "different-name.db"; // overrides the template
    };

60b129da25 Add zone "initial-file" option
When loading a primary zone for the first time, if the zonefile
does not exist but an "initial-file" option has been set, then a
new file will be copied into place from the path specified by
"initial-file".

This can be used to simplify the process of adding new zones. For
instance, a template zonefile could be used by running:

    $ rndc addzone example.com \
        '{ type primary; file "example.db"; initial-file "template.db"; };'

Unify handling of the program name in all the utilities
There were several methods how we used 'argv[0]'. Some programs had a
static value, some programs did use isc_file_progname(), some programs
stripped 'lt-' from the beginning of the name. And some used argv[0]
directly.

Unify the handling and all the variables into isc_commandline_progname
that gets populated by the new isc_commandline_init(argc, argv) call.

522ca7bb54 switch to ISC_LIST_FOREACH everywhere
the pattern `for (x = ISC_LIST_HEAD(...); x != NULL; ISC_LIST_NEXT(...)`
has been changed to `ISC_LIST_FOREACH` throughout BIND, except in a few
cases where the change would be excessively complex.

in most cases this was a straightforward change. in some places,
however, the list element variable was referenced after the loop
ended, and the code was refactored to avoid this necessity.

also, because `ISC_LIST_FOREACH` uses typeof(list.head) to declare
the list elements, compilation failures can occur if the list object
has a `const` qualifier. some `const` qualifiers have been removed
from function parameters to avoid this problem, and where that was not
possible, `UNCONST` was used.

afb424c9b6 simplify dns_name_fromtext() interface
previously, dns_name_fromtext() took both a target name and an
optional target buffer parameter, which could override the name's
dedicated buffer. this interface is unnecessarily complex.

we now have two functions, dns_name_fromtext() to convert text
into a dns_name that has a dedicated buffer, and dns_name_wirefromtext()
to convert text into uncompressed DNS wire format and append it to a
target buffer.

in cases where it really is necessary to have both, we can use
dns_name_fromtext() to load the dns_name, then dns_name_towire()
to append the wire format to the target buffer.

10accd6260 clean up uses of ISC_R_NOMEMORY
the isc_mem allocation functions can no longer fail; as a result,
ISC_R_NOMEMORY is now rarely used: only when an external library
such as libjson-c or libfstrm could return NULL. (even in
these cases, arguably we should assert rather than returning
ISC_R_NOMEMORY.)

code and comments that mentioned ISC_R_NOMEMORY have been
cleaned up, and the following functions have been changed to
type void, since (in most cases) the only value they could
return was ISC_R_SUCCESS:

- dns_dns64_create()

Fix default IANA root zone mirror configuration
Commit b121f02eac renamed the top-level
"primaries" block in bin/named/config.c to "remote-servers". This
configuration block lists the primary servers used for an IANA root zone
mirror when no primary servers are explicitly specified for it in the
configuration. However, the relevant part of the named_zone_configure()
function only looks for a top-level "primaries" block and not for any of
its synonyms. As a result, configuring an IANA root zone mirror with
just:

    zone "." {
        type mirror;
    };

now results in a cryptic fatal error on startup:

    loading configuration: not found
    exiting (due to fatal error)

Fix by using the correct top-level block name in named_zone_configure().

top block 'remote-servers' that you can refer to with zone statements.

Add a limit to the number of RR types for single name
Previously, the number of RR types for a single owner name was limited
only by the maximum number of the types (64k). As the data structure
that holds the RR types for the database node is just a linked list, and
there are places where we just walk through the whole list (again and
again), adding a large number of RR types for a single owner named with

bbfdcc36c8 Add inline-signing to dnssec-policy
Add an option to enable/disable inline-signing inside the
dnssec-policy clause. The existing inline-signing option that is
set in the zone clause takes priority, but if it is omitted, then the
value that is set in dnssec-policy is taken.

The built-in policies use inline-signing.

This means that if you want to use the default policy without
inline-signing you either have to set it explicitly in the zone
clause:

    zone "example" {
        ...
        dnssec-policy default;
        inline-signing no;
    };

Or create a new policy, only overriding the inline-signing option:

    dnssec-policy "default-dynamic" {
        inline-signing no;
    };

    zone "example" {
        ...
        dnssec-policy default-dynamic;
    };

This also means that if you are going insecure with a dynamic zone,
the built-in "insecure" policy needs to be accompanied with
"inline-signing no;".

64d69e4adc Fix an interfacemgr use-after-free error in zoneconf.c:isself()
The 'named_g_server->interfacemgr' pointer is saved in the zone
structure using dns_zone_setisself(), as a void* argument to be
passed to the isself() callback, so there is no attach/detach,
and when shutting down, the interface manager can be destroyed
by the shutdown_server(), running in exclusive mode, and causing
isself() to crash when trying to use the pointer.

Instead of keeping the interface manager pointer in the zone
structure, just check and use the 'named_g_server->interfacemgr'
itself, as it was implemented originally in the
3aca8e5bf3 commit. Later, in the
8eb88aafee commit, the code was
changed to pass the interface manager pointer using the additional
void* argument, but the commit message doesn't mention if there
was any practical reason for that.

Additionally, don't pass the interfacemgr pointer to the
ns_interfacemgr_getaclenv() function before it is checked
against NULL.
