Add a main() function to all custom servers based on isctest.asyncserver
and move server startup code there. This prevents redefining variables
from outer scope in custom server code as it evolves.
Replace custom DNS servers used in the "qmin" system test with new code
based on the isctest.asyncserver module. The revised code employs zone
files and a limited amount of custom logic, which massively improves
test readability and maintainability, extends logging, and fixes
non-compliant replies sent by some of the custom servers in response to
certain queries (e.g. AA=0 in authoritative empty non-terminal
responses, non-glue address records in ADDITIONAL section).
The ANS servers were not to written to handle NS queries at the
QNAME resulting in gratuitious protocol errors that will break tests
when NS requests are made for the QNAME.
This commit converts the license handling to adhere to the REUSE
specification. It specifically:
1. Adds used licnses to LICENSES/ directory
2. Add "isc" template for adding the copyright boilerplate
3. Changes all source files to include copyright and SPDX license
header, this includes all the C sources, documentation, zone files,
configuration files. There are notes in the doc/dev/copyrights file
on how to add correct headers to the new files.
4. Handle the rest that can't be modified via .reuse/dep5 file. The
binary (or otherwise unmodifiable) files could have license places
next to them in <foo>.license file, but this would lead to cluttered
repository and most of the files handled in the .reuse/dep5 file are
system test files.
string.endswith("label.sequence") doesn't check for the implict
period before "label.sequence" when matching longer strings.
"foo.label.sequence" should match but "foolabel.sequence shouldn't".
Add test cases for GL #2665: The QNAME minimization (if enabled) should
also occur on the second query, after the RRsets have expired from
cache. BIND will still have the entries in cache, but marked stale.
These stale entries should not prevent the resolver from minimizing
the QNAME. We query for the test domain a.b.stale. in all cases (QNAME
minimization off, strict mode, and relaxed mode) and expect it to
behave the same the second time we have a stale delegation structure in
cache.
The test works as follows:
1. Client wants to resolve unusual ip6.arpa. name:
