Normally mount_nfs acquires the port# for the NFS server's Mount protocol (mountd(8)) via rpcbind/portmapper for NFSv3 mounts. This patch adds a new mount option, so that the mount command can specify the port# and avoid using rpcbind for NFSv3 mounts. The new option is called "mountport" since that is what Linux calls their mount option for the same semantics. This is the top level of the FreeBSD source directory.
FreeBSD is an operating system used to power modern servers, desktops, and embedded platforms. A large community has continually developed it for more than thirty years. Its advanced networking, security, and storage features have made FreeBSD the platform of choice for many of the busiest web sites and most pervasive embedded networking and storage devices.
